The Church Pew

Here is my new piece of furniture.  I love it! DD loves it as well, she just cruises back and forth on it all day.  

Thanks to my parents for keeping it in their Morton Building for most of the two years.  Dad got sick of it taking up room and dropped it off about a month ago.  Because it was sitting in my garage taking up space, I was motivated to get it done. Here it is half striped.  I did this at parents, and then it sat there for about a year.   I was pregnant and was told I couldn't use the 'stripper' because of the fumes.  

DS helped me pick out the color, which it reminiscent of 'country blue' but is called Teal Feathers. Here it is fully striped.  You can tell that I got a little lacks the second time around.  Partly because I realised that it was made with two different woods.  One for the back and a stronger one for the seat so I wouldn't be able to stain it. I would have to paint it all one color.

Pandora

I have been listening to Pandora for a while now.  At least 2006, I love love love it. I love the idea of the music genome, I love how music is connected, thus we are connected.  I think it's an amazing idea to introduce new music and think creating your own station is really fun.  The website is very user friendly and has come a long way since it's original design.

I hated it when they imposed the 40 hour a month limit.  I stopped listening all together for a while as a protest, but then started again, because I missed it so much.  I would allot myself a few hours a day, making sure to pause or close my window when I wasn't going to be in the room so I didn't waste my precious hours!

I love it because I get so many ideas for new music, can match my moods, work needs, and what my office mate wants.  This is probably my favorite website of all time...and today...they got rid of the 40 HOUR LIMIT!  I was so happy when I read the e-mail I jumped up and ran to tell a fellow Pandora listener in the office.  Thank you, Pandora, thank you so much!
